PFLOTRAN is a massively parallel open-source code for the simulation of subsurface flow and reactive transport
PFLOTRAN is a massively parallel open-source code for the simulation of subsurface flow and reactive transport. Its high efficiency in parallel computer architectures and the wide range of capabilities it possesses makes it a powerful and versatile modelling tool.
Amphos has been using PFLOTRAN for several years. We have made new developments to add missing features, as well as running the code in highly parallelized systems. Thus, we can adapt the code to the needs of every user, and provide assistance for High Performance Computing (HPC).
HPC tailored to fit your needs
HPC assessment
HPC poses several challenges that we can help you to deal with:
- Code compilation and optimization
- Scaling analysis
- Budget and resources project planning
Customized PFLOTRAN versions
The use of custom versions allows for fast implementation of new capabilities. We have experience in developing new PFLOTRAN versions, such as:
- Greater flexibility in multiple continuum models (in particular, variable matrix depth).
- Solving the Nernst-Planck equation, to account for the interaction between all charged solutes in a system (e.g. the effect on transport of charged species due to the repulsion between cations and anions).
